Our origins
1945
Cavourese was born on 14 December 1945 in Cavour, in the Province of Turin, with only one bus owned, FIAT 626 model with 30 seats, and only one driver employed on the Cavour - Pinerolo line.
1960-70
To meet the growing demand for public transport, the fleet of vehicles is expanded, as is the number of bus lines: the first worker transport services and the school bus service are created in the municipalities of the Province of Turin and the Province of Cuneo.
Growth and consolidation
1980-90
With the consolidation of the company, which has now become one of the main names in public transport, the bus rental sector with driver opens and expands, covering both the national and European territory. In the same period, the first important collaborations with tourist operators and agencies were born.
2001-2003
In 2001 and 2003, the company obtained UNI EN ISO 9001 certifications for its Quality Management System and UNI EN ISO 14001 for the development of its Environmental Management System. In recent years the fleet of vehicles and the operational areas of competence have also expanded, thanks also to the merger by incorporation of some local companies including SDAV s.r.l of Luserna S. Giovanni, Bodoira Angelo s.r.l of Val Susa and EUROBUS s.r.l of Turin.
2006
The year 2006 saw Turin as a protagonist thanks to the Winter Olympics. Cavourese participated in the event as a partner in managing the transport of athletes and important sponsors, such as General Electric and NBC. Furthermore, on the occasion of the Winter Olympics, Ski Transfer was created, the direct connection from Turin Airport to the most famous ski resorts of Alta Val Susa – Bardonecchia, Sestriere, Pragelato, Cesana and Oulx.
2011
Cavourese joins Extra.TO, the consortium that brings together 21 public transport companies of the Metropolitan City of Turin, and which aims to operate local public transport services in Turin and the municipalities of Pinerolo, Ivrea, Bardonecchia , Carmagnola and Giaveno.
2015
16 December 2015 - Cavourese incorporates Martoglio S.p.A, a historic company from Giaveno (TO), thus expanding the fleet of vehicles and the range of services offered. In the same year, the Turin office was significantly consolidated - Strada del Drosso n. 77, to offer its Italian and foreign customers a dedicated commercial division.

2016 - 2022
Over the years, the company has strengthened the Gran Turismo bus rental sector and further consolidated its presence in the tourism sector. Thanks to the partnership with the most important Turin tour operators and the creation of new tourist lines such as the "Liguria Shuttle", the "Navetta per la Sacra di San Michele" and the "Turin Eco City Tour" - the latter winner of the ANAV award SMART MOVE 2016 in the tourism sector – Cavourese continues to follow the path aimed at expanding its range of action.
Cavourese boasts having obtained the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification regarding the management of health and safety in the workplace. On 1 January 2019 Cavourese S.p.A. further changes its structure with the formalization of the purchase of the Chieri business branch of the historic company "Autoindustriale Vigo s.r.l." active in the local public transport sector of Chieri and bus rental.
On 20 May 2022 Cavourese S.p.A. is acquired by the Autoguidovie Italiane S.p.A. company. After a preliminary agreement signed on 15 November 2021, Autoguidovie Italiane S.p.A., the largest private operator of local public transport in Italy, acquires 100% of the share capital, acquiring its governance.
2023
In 2023, Cavourese, after having won the GTT tender for the subcontracting of Turin's urban lines, started the first "Bus as a service" experience in Italy. Thanks to the agreement between Enel

Tomorrow
Cavourese S.p.A., representing one of the main players in the Piedmontese TPL and in the field of garage rental, is posing increasingly difficult challenges with the aim of increasingly consolidating its presence in the area.
