Our on-call services
The on-call services fall to all intents and purposes within the type of TPL services and are an integral part of the service contract in force between the Piedmont Mobility Agency, the body granting the service, and Extra.To, the concessionaire body and stable consortium of which Cavourese S.p.A. it's part.
Why on-call services
Regular public transport in areas with weak demand can show critical issues with respect to the various mobility needs of the population.Flexible services represent a response to mobility needs and an alternative to obtain reductions in the operating costs of the conventional service.
Service objectives
The objective in territories with weak demand is to ensure:
• the connection between the hamlets and the centers where the main social, health, administrative, commercial, sports, etc. services are located;
• connection with locations not served by local public transport;
• the offer of a service more calibrated to the real needs of citizens, at the same rate as scheduled transport;
• accessibility to the railway system;
• the optimization of resources allocated to local public transport services.
Selected operating modes
- they are defined as "predefined stopping points, within a network served on demand" with destinations mainly used in the Municipalities where the socio-health and administrative services are located (main attractor hub);
- entirely variable and modular routes with departure/arrival from and to any node of the network of each hub, depending on the reservations registered;
- possibility of trips combined with extra-urban scheduled services with interchange and/or connections between the various services (on demand, scheduled LPT, railway services);
- service coverage time period from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm/7pm on all weekdays, and on the occasion of particular events/demonstrations including on public holidays;
- regional pricing for scheduled public transport services;
- offline booking system with the possibility of booking half a day in advance, for one or more trips, for one or more people, for one or more days, in all hubs, specifying the pick-up and drop-off points, the departure or arrival time and the number of places requested.
General operation of the services
- the Customer contacts Cavourese who provides the service via a dedicated number and formulates the travel request, specifying the points of origin and/or destination, the desired times, the number of seats, the type of trip (one-way, round-trip, periodic);
- Cavourese manages the planning of the service after acquiring the parameters of the user's request to create or modify an already existing trip;
- Cavourese immediately communicates the travel schedule to the user who can refuse or accept the proposal;
- Cavourese updates the scheduling of the various services and when bookings are closed, he communicates to the driver the trips resulting from the proposals accepted by the users.

The on-call services managed by Cavourese S.p.A. are the following:
- Provibus of Chivasso and Chivasso Nord
- Provibus by Gassino
- Mebus of the Chierese Hill

CHIVASSO Provibus
The on-call service, called “Provibus di Chivasso” is a TPL service. To use it all you need is a telephone reservation on the toll-free number. You need to know what day and time you need the service, from where to where you need to go. You need to call at least the day before.
How to book
You must contact the toll-free number 800-913 291 active every weekday from Monday to Friday continuously from 8.45am to 1.30pm.
Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Based on needs, times and stopping points are agreed with the operator! If the needs match the remaining availability, the service can be confirmed.
Service times
The offer of Provibus services can only be guaranteed in the following time slots:
- Morning: from 8.45am to 1.30pm
- Afternoon: from 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Procedure of the service, tickets and cost
Users of the service must scrupulously respect the required times and stopping points at the time of use. When boarding, the ticket corresponding to the requested route must be purchased.
It is recommended to arrive with small banknotes and preferably with already counted money.
Electronic payments are not possible. The cost of the travel ticket is defined on the basis of regional rates (consult the specific page for further information).
The amounts are as follows:
- €1.80 for routes from 0 to 5 km
- €2.30 for routes from 5.1 to 10 km
- €2.50 for routes from 10.1 to 15 km
- €3.30 for routes from 15.1 to 20 km
At the time of issue on board, the surcharge for the on-board collection fee of €0.70 will be applied.
The cost of the ticket indicated is valid for a single journey. The ticket is personal and cannot be transferred.
Drop-on/Drop-off is not permitted and therefore descents are not permitted, much less waiting even for a few minutes.
The user who does not show up at the stop will still be required to pay the cost of the ticket. Otherwise he will be included in a special blacklist and will no longer be able to use the service.
GASSINO Provibus
